About the Client
Hospice of the Chesapeake (HOC) provides hospice care to terminally ill residents of Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties. HOC offers comprehensive end-of-life care to patients and their families, including medical, nursing, social work, and bereavement services.Challenge
- Position the organization to compete with non-profits and for-profit organizations entering their service area.
- Develop a new, progressive, uplifting brand identity and logo.
- Design and produce the 2007 annual report to communicate HOC’s value and impact to terminally ill people, their loved ones, and the community, as well as to express gratitude to donors for their support.
Solution
- Rebranded HOC to elevate perceptions and increase awareness and recall. Designed a new logo incorporating HOC’s mission to provide care and support to the terminally ill and their loved ones, as well as HOC’s ties to the Chesapeake region.
- Designed and produced an annual report highlighting how contributions have supported HOC’s financial and community goals, and showing appreciation for donors.
Outcome
The new logo and annual report were well-received and embraced by all HOC internal and external audiences and constituents.
